"Thistles under the Roof" is a partial installation. It allows the audience to immerse themselves in a sensory experience. Its deep black color presents a bewildering and dramatic vision, breaking down its materiality by absorbing light. It creates an atmosphere that concentrates all its metaphor in a state of temporary fossilization. It juxtaposes against a digital image that appears more like a desired but ultimately virtual space, inaccessible. In contrast, it is faced with one that is completely immersive, from which one seems unable to escape. The viewer sees themselves as an inhabitant of nowhere.

I aim to lead the audience into a kind of timeless bubble amid a simulation constructed to directly challenge our cognitive and imaginative frameworks. The experience itself ends up configuring profound meanings that relate to a multi-sensory system, like an entity through which I build a model of association, a kind of perception chamber. The visitor will find dichotomies in the possible associations they can make, a result of their observation and personal repertoire of images.

Here, I detach myself from painting, sculpture, and traditional methods to make way for a space affected by light, sound, air, and movement. I shape an autonomous entity that interprets a natural language translated into a multi-organism that ends up absorbing realistic models, that is, from the anecdotal scenarios from which the image originates or emanates. I seek the creation of a real stage, crafted to stimulate memory and reflection.
